Reviews and Ratings
My stay at The Merchant Hotel was a mixed bag. The rooms, particularly in the Victorian section, felt dark and cluttered, with dirty windows that could use a good cleaning. On the plus side, the dining experience in the Great Room was really good, with stellar breakfast service that left me impressed. The location in the Cathedral Quarter is quite vibrant, and the staff, while some were attentive, were a bit hit-or-miss with their hospitality.
I had a lovely stay at The Merchant Hotel, highlighted by its gorgeous Art Deco style and a fabulous breakfast. However, I was a bit disappointed with the noise from the rooftop bar that interrupted my relaxation. Overall, the attentive staff and opulent atmosphere made for a pleasant experience. 🌟
My stay at The Merchant Hotel was a journey into luxury, highlighted by stunning decor and attentive service. Although my room was spacious and beautiful, I noticed some amenities could use an upgrade (like a less tired decor in the Victorian section). The breakfast was impressive, especially the pancakes, but some of the dining options felt a bit repetitive for longer stays. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was one of indulgence and comfort.
Overall, my stay at The Merchant Hotel was quite enjoyable with its stunning decor and really good staff. The breakfast was good, especially the Eggs Benedict. However, I did encounter some noise issues from nearby bars, which disturbed my sleep on Saturday night. Still, the luxurious ambiance and attentive service made for a nice experience.
I had a lovely stay at The Merchant Hotel, mainly due to the gorgeous room and splendid service. The rooftop hot tub was a highlight, though it was disappointing that the jets weren't fully operational. Breakfast was good, but I could've done without the odd music choice and limited fresh fruit. Overall, I'd rate it a solid experience but with a few tweaks, it could've easily been five stars.
